Paris based record label Sound Pellegrino have announced that on the 5th April 2012, they will launch L’Annuel, a 132 page printed magazine. It’s the “pluridisciplinary companion” to the Sound Pellegrino Festival that takes place from the 6th to the 8th of April.

The magazine will be available in many Parisian stores, online, and at the Festival itself. When described by label manager Emile Shahidi, he says that L’Annuel is “Us and our friends, trying to predict the near future in architecture, cinema, politics, music, communication, health and many other fields, how to adapt – and sometimes being really silly at it.” Us is not just him, Teki Latex and DJ Orgasmic as some may expect. It’s a whole team of contributors from former teachers at the University of Versailles to decorators for Ralph Lauren to Manhattan based architects. This is a big deal.

For us, it’s another example of how the Sound Pellegrino crew just can’t be caged creatively. For any normal human, running a record label, A&R’ing and playing shows across the world would be the “right I think I’ve made it” point, but we must remember the Sound Pellegrino gang aren’t normal humans. We’re incredibly excited by this project and can only see it leading to more exciting avenues. For more information on the magazine, including its contributors, buying and ordering, and a more fluent description of what they do, check the full site. Lots of love and support to the Sound Pellegrino crew.
