We’re huge fans of Liverpool / London based Melé at AO-AO so it was amazing to receive his top ten tracks of the past year. It’s been an insanely impressive twelve months for Krissy Peers who’s toured across Europe with Brenmar and Dillon Francis, played in New York and released EP’s on both Mixpak and Sinden’s Grizzly label. His productions have also gained support from BBC Radio 1 heads such as Annie Mac and Toddla T, the latter of which he collaborated with on Toddla T’s Red Bull mixtape. L-Vis 1990, Rustie, Brodinski and Diplo are just a selection of other cats that have praised the 19 year old’s work. It’s hard to comprehend his age and what he’s already done, he’s on some Lex Luger shit. DJ wise, he really is on another level. He takes everything from Joey Beltram to LOL Boys to Daniel Bedingfield to So Solid Crew, makes it work, and makes everyone have an amazing time, I was fortunate enough to experience it earlier this year in Leeds. His Boiler Room set was a prime example. It’s clear from his sets that he’s so well educated in all avenues of music and he’s an expert at dropping the right track at exactly the right time. With a collaboration with Riton in the pipeline and the release of his track ‘Beamer‘, it looks like Melé is kicking off 2012 in the same fashion that made 2011 so successful. Huge huge support for Melé, thanks for taking your time out G. Check his top ten of the past year below:
